I have been teaching private lessons to students of all ages and levels for over 15 years. I have placed students in honor bands and orchestras in Ohio, Colorado, and Texas; and several have gone on to major in music in college.
My formal credentials include a doctorate in flute performance and pedagogy from the University of Colorado. In addition to my formal training, I incorporate aspects of yoga, theater, and the visual arts into my teaching. I also study the shakuhachi (Japanese bamboo flute), which has further expanded my pedagogy.
